My horse Dream – he was a huge blessing from God to me. He is 2
years old now, but I won him when he was only 4 months old. He is truly
something that makes me smile because I love him so much and would never want
to lose him.
·
My friends – we are always having fun, no matter where we are.
Life without them would be so boring. God has blessed me with amazing friends
that constantly lift me up and help me through everything.
·
Finishing a big project – I love school, but what I love even
more is the feeling I get when I have finally finished a project or homework
assignment that felt like it would never end.
·
Winning awards for science fair – it feels so great to get
something out of all the work you put into it. Last year I went to State
Science Fair, which was such a huge achievement. I was smiling the whole time
because it was an amazing experience.
·
Doing 4-H – I absolutely love being involved in 4-H. I love to
work hard on the projects and take them to state fair. Last year my public
speaking demonstration on how to make horse treats went to Nationals!
·
When my friends confide in me – knowing that my friends trust me
and want to tell me things makes me smile because that is part of being a good
friend.
·
The movie Flicka – this is probably my favorite movie. Of
course, it not only makes me smile, but it makes me cry sometimes too. It
really takes you into the story and lets you become a part of it.
·
Books – most books that I’ve read make me smile. I love reading
and when you come across a really great book, it’s all you can do to not feel
everything with the characters.
·
My cat Pumpkin – she is always doing silly stuff, but she
especially likes to cuddle with me. She is so soft and adorable; nobody can
pass up a hug from her.
·
My turtle Franklin – he always sits in strange positions and
does weird things. He is a joy to have around and just watch for awhile. And I
love that he is always there to greet me when I come into my room.
·
Swimming – I swim competitively and being able to dive into that
water and just fly through it is one of the best feelings in the world. It gets
even better if you place in the top three!
·
Being on stage – whether it’s singing in the choir or acting,
dancing and singing in the school plays, the feeling is exhilarating. You can’t
always smile in the play, but you are always smiling on the inside because you
love it so much!
·
Helping others – I love to do as many service projects as I can;
I am on student council and my mom is the events coordinator for my school, so
I get lots of opportunities to help with those kinds of things. I also really
enjoy helping others with their problems. I plan to be a counselor when I am
older.
·
Eating a chocolate chip bagel from Panera – they are a seasonal
flavor, so every summer when they come out I always go buy a huge box of them
and freeze them so I can have one every morning!
There are probably so many
other things that make me smile that I just can’t think of right now. God has
truly blessed me with an amazing life, amazing friends and so much that I can’t
help but smile, especially when I think of Him. Thank you for giving us this
opportunity to share our hearts with you!
